My wife has now been here for thirteen months and her visa run out on March 2012. She would like to know when is she eligible to take the test, now or wait nearer the time that her visa finishes.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

anytime she wants, but she must pass b4 her visa expires :xxgrinning--00xx3:
When do I take the test?
You should take the test before you apply for naturalisation as a British citizen or before you apply for indefinite leave to remain, provided you meet all the other requirements.

True that the wife met when taking her test a whole group of OFW's taking at the last possible moment and a Fellow Pinay spouse who was on her second attempt and was running out of time to pass the exam.
Take it early as you can then the pressure is far less intense:xxgrinning--00xx3:
Also if your Mahal is working looking after Kids or that is likely to change in the next 13 months then start studying now!!!!
For those reading who have just arrived it maybe worth reading from day one as the early days are often when the new arrival has the most time on their hands from experience:)
