have you tried looking in manchester or a chinese store near you?

theres a barrio fiesta in manchester every year and in leeds, there maybe a local filipino community near you, have a look online.

blackburn must have some living there :D

If you want to find a Filipina try shouting 'Kamusta Ka' in crowded places. If your lucks in, bingo, whisk her away somewhere quiet but if it isn't you might get whisked away yourself. :icon_lol:

Yes, :iagree: ... this does tend to be a problem facing many ladies settling into a whole new lifestyle - thousands of miles from everything that has been familiar to them for so long. However, I'm hopeful the suggestions others have offered thus far will help ease your wife into feeling "more at home". Perhaps ... like you've done ... she might consider joining our friendly, online filipino/uk forum - which is an ideal site for dealing with the transition. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Lancashirelad,
Bring back memories.I lived near Cleveleys for 5 years in a past life, Rossall, loved the summers but the winters were diabolical
when the wind was howling. Is Streets bakery and coffee shop still going?
