Puzzling question :Erm: Not being rude but I wear Hugo Boss jeans and Gant polo-shirts most days, some guys make "Pinay"s out to be a brand-name must have fashionable wife, they are women, the worlds filled with them, they arent an ethnicity, they are simply women :NoNo: I never did deliberatly hunt down a pinay, accidental meet, bumped into on a train in Hong Kong.

Nice story, as they say learn to expect the unexpected. First I apologise for my typing, can't type for nuts, ever since the onset of arthritis, I no longer have 10 fingers and 2 thumbs, have 12 thumbs,
I didn't set out looking for an asian lady, But after looking around here, localy and trying some UK based dating sites, I was advised by my brother and sister in law to maybe look at the asian option. My sister in law is an asian lady.
When I did find the lovely pinay, I never looked back. For me its not just down to looks, they have, in my humble opinion a unique attitude as well. I just got to wondering how other guys found their Pinay lady.

true words spoken there my friend, indeed they are very pretty but there is more to them , emma brings out the best in me and all she meets , so calming and just so down to earth, forget the typing there we all understand what we are trying to say on here , most of us have been there and some are on the way too

I was online dating in the UK on and off for several years and it was the last few disappointing dates I had, that made me think, what the hell am I doing wasting my time with these lot?

So I went on an Asian dating site & that's when I met Maria.

Yep I agree, My brother is very stubborn, but even he will admit, that his lady is the best thing that ever happened to him, The rest of our family can all see the the new him, and we have never seen him so happy as he is now. There is no doubt in my mind that pinay have some very unique qualities.

jamieXXXmaria, I can certainly relate to that. I did see an thread here about asian dating sites, and to be wary. I think that has to apply to all dating sites, if anything the asian sites are in my opinion an far safer bet.

I know what you mean, but I suppose we all have types we are attracted to?

I can remember camping in Devon, with some mates, a few years ago & having a BBQ on the beach. A beautiful Asian girl, wearing a blue dress, came & sat alone, on a rock near to us. I assumed she was Thai, but was quite likely a Filipina...She was also very pregnant.

These things stick in your memory & leave lasting impressions.

I also have vague memories of watching Miss World, when I was about 9 or 10? & liking Miss Philippines.

As for the wife, we met by pure accident, but I'm glad that it happened. :)

I spent a year living in the Philippines and fell in love with the country and the people.

When I got back to the UK I found a fantastic filipina who was living and working here. She is now my wife! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Also, she had ILR in her own right, so we didn't have any visa issues.

I think that has to apply to all dating sites, if anything the asian sites are in my opinion an far safer bet. You're more likely to find a gorgeous classy lady on an Asian site than on a site such as Plenty of Fish which is mainly full of less classy western women, but you need to be aware there are plenty of scammers. Best thing to do is take your time and not get too excited and always have in the back of your mind that they may want something else more than they want you.

I always find it a total mystery :cwm24: Why would you pick somebody based on a stereotype :Erm: I don't get all this "they are this," or "they are that". They're the same as women anywhere, all unique and different in their own way. Some are beautiful, some not so. Some are ambitious and hardworking, others not so. Some want to be good wives, others just want a free ATM

If somebody wants to come here and meet that stereotypical sweet caring filipina I'll be happy to make a few introductions to change your mindset :icon_lol:

I met my current gf through her uncle who's a friend of mine.

Some nice stories, I didn't setout with any preconceived ideas about Pinay
and certainly had no notion of hunting one down or even picking one.
I found them by accident, and knew very little about them.
As for streotypes we are all sterotypes of one sort or another or we not ?
I was just curious as to how the other guys here found their lady.
As they say, each to his or her own
