We submitted our spouse application on 7/06/2011 and already the tracking facility says the passport is ready for collection at VFS as of today. Does this lean more to a refusal i wonder. I was in the philippines for a year on unpaid leave recently so didn't show wage slips, but I did show letters from my employer and substantial savings, and a letter showing I had returned to work from employer this month. gotta say im all of a shaking. I ll let you know but i fear its far too quick for a positive.

Had another email from UKBA saying visa dispatched and available for collection within 3 days at application centre, bit more heartened now, talk about quick it was only submitted on tuesday, im in shock and the missis is crying. Hope it means the visa decision is positive.
good luck to both of you, i felt the same way as you do. They texted me last 31/05/2011 morning, that our application is being processed, and few hours later, got another text saying, they've given their decision already. Felt really nervous about it, why it was so quick. But last tuesday i received the pack of documents with our passports from the courier and found out that visas are granted to us. Nothing is impossible with God. So good luck to both of you and keep on praying.:xxgrinning--00xx3: stay positive... :)

Thanks aryM , Im really positive with the Email from UKBA, saying that the visa had been despatched, plus VFS saying the passport is ready for collection now, Well tomorrow my Asawa is going to the VFS so then I can stop feeling so nervous. A two day turnaround I didn't think it possible God willing it will be granted.

Thanks Terpe and Graham, Im just nervous of the speed of this , the e mail says,
"Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub"
Seems pretty clear really so I should relax.

Re; CFO
Not so sure about that.
You can get the CFO BEFORE the visa is issued, so logic says you can get it now, before that visa is "valid".
However, this is the Philippines... so ....
I'm sure others on here will give u their "experiences" of this situation.
BTW, well done

Same with me, visa is set to be valid starting June 30. You don't need to wait till its validity. I will be having the CFO 3rd week this month in Cebu City.
Congratulations to both of you:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Just a quick note that came to mind re CFO, when we did the cenomar my wife came out with the certs and a info book on the UK. she said it cost 2500 peso for the book and 400 for the certs. I knew the fee was only 400 all in, so I went in with her and couldn't get passed the two security guards to see this guy who had fleeced her, he was in an office upstairs somewhere, anyway after a bit of shouting and a few threats my wife was sent upstairs and duly returned with 1500, so a bit more raised voices and up she went again and returned with the other 1000, she was told not to exoect any help if ever she returned there and the guards were well pissed off too and asked for a 1000, not sure what they expected that for, just glad she only needs to deal with the main office at citigold centre now.

exactly what i thought BBJones, like she needs to go back anyway, She did say the guy looked really worried about the commotion downstairs, I think he wanted the money because she was supposed to have her passport, which she did not have at that time, but he let her do the seminar anyway and gave her the certs.
