:Erm::Erm: I recently applied for a family visit visa last June 10,2011... i guess i followed all of the requirement... And finally this day they had a message for me,

A decision on your Visa application reference number: ________has been made by the British Embassy.
and it is being couriered back etc..

they didn't state whether its granted or refused... it just makes me feel that my head is going to crack...hehe

What do you think about it?

many visit visa's are refused, i think over 1/3 are refused, thou with a family visit visa you could have a better chance. only 5 day wait, not bad, i hope its good news thou :xxgrinning--00xx3:

i think visit visa itself is different in Family visit visa... beacause you are invited by a family when you say family visit visa right?

nway THANKS appreciate it joe

one of the main reasons for refusal is the caseworker is not convinced you will return before your visa expires, and thats for a visit visa or family visit visa :cwm24:

I'm going to uk on a spouse visa, my husband is british and we got married here in the phils march 2011. Our concern is that, do i need to have our marriage certificate red ribbon stamped from DFA when we register our marriage in the UK? It's original from nso but without red ribbon..is that ok? And do i need to have my diplomas and transcript of record red ribbon stamped too for employment or if ever i want to study in the uk? do i really need to get the red stamps from DFA for my documents TO BE VALID IN UK? I need ur help! Please reply asap. Thank you so much!!!

what were the reasons ?

it is said that there is a discrepancy between the letter of invitation, which is they stated that it was a graduation gift and the certificate of employment in my job that they are not sure about coming back to the country.. what do you think about the appeal? or what should i do?

It's not really clear to me.

So do you believe the ECO doubts your intention to return?

What was the stated purpose of the visit?

Did your employer state they agree your period of leave and they expect you to return to your job on XXXX?

For a Family Visit you may appeal, but be aware that it might be a lengthy process.

If you feel the application was complete and compliant, and the reason for refusal is unclear then you should request a reconsideration of the decision. This will not prevent a formal appeal.

Maybe you needed to really provide compelling reasons to return home

Yes ECO doubts me from returning... and yes employer stated that i must return back to work and im expected on a certain date... the reason of the visit is that its merely a family visit and it is a treat for me as a graduation gift and they want to tour me around
