Hi,
I would like also to ask your opinion regarding Marco's story, we almost share the same experience/story.

I emailed certain Alexandra Bruce, a businessman. I ask if he is still in need of a nanny. He replied with job interview questions, I answered and sent it back. After few hours, I received a job offer.

We had a long conversation/chat until he endep up saying he will refer me to his agency (SOUTHHALL LIMITED) I search for the agency and I believe it is existing. He asked me to contact the agency regarding the requirements for the processing of documents, so I did.

I have doubts so I asked for his home adress, his parents name, address where his wife works. Ofcourse, he gave me the information that I needed. I actually search for his name and address in this web www.192.com and it appears that an A Bruce really lives on the address that he gave me. The accounting firm where his wife works exists too.

I was asked my the employer and the agency to pay 1000 pounds=70,000philippine peso but since I don't have that amount, we agreed that I will pay that amount that I can afford and he will pay for the rest. I deposited P20,000 via Western Union as stated and send it to a certain ANDRE MARTINS.

After paying, the agency sent me a Scanned Copy of a RESIDENCE PERMIT. Here's the message:

Hello,...
Congratulation!congratulation!!congratulation!!!

We have to take this opportunity to tell you that your documents are ready and it has been sent to the shipping company FedEx.

But, we got a little problem from the Shipping company (FedEx ),You are expected to pay for the tax clearance, shipping fee and the flight insurance certificate .

shipping fee ................................150pounds

tax clearance.................................100pounds

Flight insurance certificate...............950pounds

The total cost is ( 1,200pounds) ,We kindly appreciate your soonest update about the fee ,So as to enable your document to be claimed at the port of destination also for your document to be shipped to your door step Hope you kindly Understand Us?

Also a copy of your Resident permit has been scan and attached for you to see because all the other document have
been forwarded to the shipping company .

We are also sorry for the inconvenience ,we promised to offer the best of the services.
Best Regards.

They attached the scanned copy of the RESIDENCE PERMIT which I will be sending next.

I did not yet make the payment since I have doubt already and I am trying to seek the help of some experts. If you try to search for this email address alexandrabruce20@yahoo.com, you will found out that he had posted his add looking for nanny/au pair/driver to the different online job sites.

I highly appreciate your opinion too.

I really do appreciate your ideas. Atleast by now, I know what to do next.

A litte bit frustrated because I have wasted my P20,000.00 but the good thing is I was informed immediately that it is just a scam or else I deposited some amont again... :bigcry:

They asked me to send a photocopy of my passport so I did. After how many hours, they sent me back that scanned photocopy passport page and it was written residence documentation with serial number. For me who haven't seen a real one, would really believe it's real. I wish I could send you that fake document for you to see how did they do it.

Well, I must admit I got deceive.

Anyway, thanks Joebloggs...

no one can get you a visa without having your passport ! the embassy need your passport to insert the visa in..

so all they have done is got someone elses scanned permit and used photoshop or another package to insert your details and picture.

the chances of anyone getting any job if your from outside europe now , unless your very highly skilled is vritually 0 ! and i mean 0% chance, if someone offers you a job, avoid it, it will be a scam..

I'm sorry to hear about your experience.

May I suggest that you email details of this person and his agency to the UKBA (see website),also the police in London, at New Scotland Yard (fraud dept), and the authorities in the Phils.

It will cost you nothing, and hopefully will put an end to the activities of these scum.

as i said b4 quicky done on photoshop

they would have to send your passport to the embassy and it would probably takes weeks, nevermind days until they got your passport back from the embassy..

I don't feel good about it but reading your comments made me feel better. I appreciate your concern. I should have known about this website before though I am still thankful that I wasn't able to deposit some more amount.
I know the money can't be returned but I learned a very important lesson from what had happened.
Anyway, thank you to all of you. May the good Lord showers you lots of blessings, mercy and grace.

It so happen that I talked to my sister about the application and she didn't feel good about it, she did some research until she found this web... I signed up and I read marco's story... It's quite similar to mine...

Actually during that time I was about to deposit some more amount but thanks God, He saved me from doing it... :)
