Ok guys...
My gf has just been to the CFO seminar today and has obtained the certificates and the all important CFO sticker in her passport.

Regarding coming to the UK................ "she's good to go!!" :Jump: All I need to do is get a flight booked for her.

Given that she will be leaving the Phils and entering the UK on a Settlement (Fiancé) Visa, will Immigration / airlines require her to have a single ticket or return??

I've have heard that sometimes people are refused to fly if they do not have an return (or onward) ticket. I'm not sure if that applies to people leaving Phils on settlement visas.

I was just about to book the flight when this question crossed my mind.

I know there's quite a few guys flown there wives/girlfriends into the UK recently............. any advice??

Cheers all
Dave

Yes, It sure is a nice feeling indeed, booking the one-way ticket!!!!!!!!

I've booked it now. Flying Manila > Manchester with Etihad Airways with a 2.5 hours stop over at Abu Dhabi..... £446 was the best I could get

Personally, for convenience, I always fly KLM Manila > Amsterdam > Durham but it was going to be very expensive £700+ for ONE WAY!

I can't wait to have my mahal here and we can start our new life together :Jump::Jump::Jump:

Cheers!

Thanks for the comments guys!

When I was looking around for flights, if I looked on the airlines' sites direct ie KLM, Etihad etc etc the prices they gave were very much more expensive.

I booked through Philippine Island Connections, spoke to them on the phone, told them I was flexible on dates / airports and they gave me the price mentioned above.

My advice is to try Philippine Island Connects and/or Dial-a-Flight etc etc to get a good idea of flight costs.

Out of curiosity I phoned Philippine Island Connections a week ago to get a rough quote for the Etihad Manila > London Heathrow route and the best price then was £365 !!!!

On that ocasion, I didn't book the flight because I wanted to wait until I'd heard from my gf that she had definitely got the CFO sticker in her passport!!!

As you can immagine I'm on countdown now.......:Jump:

Yes, the prices include everything...........well, apart from the 2% I was charged because I used my credit card as opposed to my debit card.
