We reached 29C yesterday.
It's already now showing 30C
Don't know how accurate the numbers are though, it's less sunny but it does feel hotter.

We could do with some of your rain Arthur.

Hi Arthur:Wave:

It was around 28c and sunny in Leicester on Sunday, and 27c and cloudy today. The sun was out earlier, but it's clouded over now and looks like it's going to rain later

It's been said before, but Scotland's two seasons are ... winter and July :yikes:.
Just for the record, yesterday's official maximum temperature in Perth (Scotland) was about the same as Perth (Australia) - 19 and 20 Centigrade ( 68 Fahrenheit ). It fell to 0 ( 32 ) on Cairngorm :omg:.
The warmest place in the UK was Jersey at 30 ( 86 ), the same as Paris, and beating Rome, Athens, Majorca, Corsica, and Geneva ( all around 29 ). Manila reached 31 :xxgrinning--00xx3:.
Scarborough's weather readings are not accepted by the Met Office, just as well as the instruments are on top of a hill ( catching more sunshine, more wind, and lower temperatures than rival resorts of Whitby / Bridlington :doh).

:yikes: ...

... to quote the now 'timeless' words immortalised by one, Victor Meldrew ... "I don't believe it!" Actually, I do ... it's just that having sampled last week's temperatures in Rome - and those in both Majorca and Athens back in 1994 - it somehow seems difficult to imagine ANYwhere in such close proximity to mainland :Britain: as the Channel Islands, being hotter! :cwm24:

No 'jersey' (as in pullover) needed there, evidently! :nono-1-1:

Paris ... admittedly, in March last year ... was :freezin:

Places like Perth [Australia], the French island of Corsica ... and Geneva, I haven't been to. :NoNo:
