David Healy was celebrating the fulfilment of a lifetime ambition today after signing a one-year deal with boyhood idols Rangers.
Northern Ireland's all-time leading goalscorer was desperate to cement a future at Ibrox after Rangers agreed to take over the final six months of his Sunderland contract last January.
The 31-year old knew he was effectively on trial and responded with a goal on his debut and an impressive overall contribution to Rangers' title run-in.
