Forgetting to put original docs with visa application

My mother and brother have applied for a UK family visitor visa 2 weeks ago. I just realised my mum didn't send original documents but only certified copy ones, including their passports:doh. Anyone know if they will be denied or will they just ask them for the original documents?

Also, would anyone know if they have a big chance in getting the visa? They live in the USA and they already have their green card. My mum works full time and my brother is going to college. Me and my husband work full time and have our own house. We're both british citizens. I haven't seen my mother and brother for 5 years. My mum has been approved a visa before (business) although its ages ago, late 90s.

they should wait for a call from the Embassy. btw, did the staff from the vfs US ask for the originals when they submitted their application?
