Saw this UK Border Agency consultation doc on Family Migration ...:yikes: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/consultations/family-migration/consultation.pdf?view=Binary

I wonder when is the soonest it will come into place? This year ...next year ....?:doh

I reckon most of what theyre aiming for will come in to pass..:hubbahubba:

It has made me reassess timings for me & my own ! just wish had an inkling on how soon it could potentially come into effect ... we may well come thru via EEA family route as am living, working & Resident in job elsewhere in Europe at the mo ..:)

I also appreciate that one should be able to independently & responsibly support our families when moving to the sunny UK - am very anti benefits blaggers ..:Jump:

the new law will not take affect until APRIL 2012....after 2012 they intend to restrict the number of non EU immigrants to the minimum possible....it seems that they want it to restrict to thousands rather than tens of thousands:dohbut they maintain this will not affect genuine applicants....:D
