hi everyone

I am married to a british man and we have a child born here in Philippines.( my british husband is the father ).My husband is currently working now in UK.As soon as our baby will register and get a british passport in British EMbassy, i would like to ask if my husband can claim child benefit for our child in UK even if our child is living here in Philippines?
another question, What if my husband will move and settle here in Philippines, is he entitle to claim child benefit?

hope to hear from your response..thank u

Answer to 2nd part:

If you move abroad permanently
If you're going abroad permanently, or expect to be away for more than 52 weeks, you won't qualify for Child Benefit unless both of the following apply:

•you are moving to an EEA country or Switzerland
•you are paying UK NICs or receiving a UK National Insurance-related benefit
