Hi Everyone

If Rina wanted to do her CFO Seminar and obtain the GSS Certificate before her Visa is issued and passport is returned what does she need to take with her -

1. Emails showing UK Visa Fiancee application is being processed
2. Gov ID - As she has no passport she has one other Gov ID, what else should she take?
3. The 400 PHP fee.

Once the passport is returned (hopefully with visa) she simply has to fill in the registration forms duplicate her passport and go back and get the CFO Stamp and pay the 250php fee?
Can this stamp be done anytime - you don't have to wait for a tue/thur?

Have I got it right?

In terms of the interview what should she take?
Photos of us?
not sure what else she should take?
She is 24 does she need a letter from her mum?

Thanks - I am planning on her going along this Tuesday then I am hoping when she picks up her passport she can get it duplicated and fill in the reg forms and get the CFO stamp done. Next day fly to me...been a long 3 months..:cwm3:

Thanks as ever

Tone

she will not get a CFO stamp unless she got a valid visa,....but she can attend the seminar/interview and get a certificate which she will present when she gets back to the CFO office once she got her visa and they will put a cfo stamp on her passport...
most questions only involve all about you and her and some weird questions like'''whats the ''maiden'' name of your husbands mum??

Hi Tone,i thought of the same but seeing as I'll be going to Phils to bring my mahal back once the visa has been granted, we'll probably go together to the seminar and get the CFO stamp done, fingers crossed 2 week of Sept if all goes to plan

I'm just trying to shortcut the shortcut hehehe...

I'm thinking get the interview done - get the certificate and then she just has to go get the stamp because as soon as the visa is in her hand I want her to fly next day..
You could say I am impatient - I am..

That's perfectly understandable, Tone ... everyone in your position wants to get things "cut and dried" as quickly as possible. And there's nothing to stop your wife attending the Counselling Seminar whenever an appointment can be arranged to suit. But as Mari has explained, she WILL need to wait until the visa is issued - and her *passport returned - for the *latter to be officially stamped. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

When my Fiancee inquired they did CFO in Cebu every weekday not just Tues and Thurs, so as you have to return to get the stamp i saw no advantage in doing the course beforehand. The stamp in the visa is issued in another building but not so far away.

For the CFO they ask for a picture of you together, a photo copy of sponsors passport or birth certificate, they asked my fiancee the maiden name of my Mum, address of my workplace.

good luck :)

Thanks!
You would have thought after submitting enough evidence for UKBA they would have been ok with that, what does that info actually prove?

I'll probably let her get the visa first I'm of the opinion now what's an extra few days...

Cheers for you're replies.

So a quick update.

She attended the seminar on Tuesday got there early and was there until near 1445. She then went to the VFS office just in time and collected her passport and just a fraction of the supplied documents.
She was going to go to the CFO because the counsellor told her now she has GSS cert and when she gets her visa she can get the CFO Registration and get the passport stamped.

Yesterday she want back to CFO (she told me she was sure to obtain the stamp) depsite me telling her they probably wont stamp it until 16th.. she was denied but she did fill in the Registration form and supply the docs and was given a receipt and a blue certificate.
Apparently on the 16th she just needs to go along and get the stamp.
Thats scuppered my plans for a tuesday arrival now so she will be getting the Tuesday 1825 and will now land heathrow at 7am Wed morning.

Cheers
Tone
