Hi folks,
We are planning to go to London next year and get my wife's passport changed to her married name, as the ILR is due next year.
On the Embasy website it says your passport can be collected in person in 12 weeks after submission...
That seems like a long time.....Has anyone had their passport renewed recently, and what was the turnaround time from your visit to the embasy until your passport arrived at your UK address?
Cheers :-)

Hi Angel1403,
Yes, that is the new turn around time for passport renewal, even in Philippines it can be around that time as every passport needs to be posted to Manila. Sometimes it can arrive 8 weeks but the standard is 12 weeks and depends on how quickly the Manila DFA processed it.
I went to Phil. Embassy in London last month. I know I should have done it the other month as I only need it to be amended so I can use my married last name. But effective July 1, 2011 Philippines changed their passport application and renewal system.
It won't take you too long to have it processed anyway and your wife will have his old passport back and be able to keep it even if the new passport will arrive. You can have the passport posted back to your address so need to go to Phil. Embassy to pick it up. Just make sure to get the prepaid pack/envelope from the post office.

Also if your a British Citizen when you do go to renew your pinas passport firstly you will need to take an oath to become a Phill dual citizen (a cost of 30-odd quid i think).
