View Full Version : Form Setm - ILR - question on Biometrics

Hello - My wife has booked her appointment to process ILR.
She already passed her Life in the UK test and has her paperwork prepared.
However, on the application form it states include Biometrics Resident Permit if issued since arrival in the UK. She arrived in the UK on a Spouse Visa and has never had a Biometrics Permit. As far as I can tell she will have Biometrics taken on the day of her ILR appointment for the new card system replacing visa page in passport.
She had Biometrics taken in the Philippines during her spouse visa application process but no permit was issued in the UK. Is it correct that she would never have had a Biometrics permit previously and that it will be taken during the ILR appointment ?
Thanks in advance for any advice which will be gratefully received as always.

hello isimpson01:Hellooo: no need for your wife to answer that question cause those that arrived in spousal visa haven't been issued a biometric card, only those that got married here in the uk on fiancee/e visa were given and asked to do that and those other types of visa extensions. Leave it blank...when answering that question.

Good luck PAT with your ILR.
Better take a look at the application form now just to be sure you got everything needed.

:) That's right, Aileen ... I remember Myrna came here on a spousal visa shortly after you did, and wasn't issued with a biometrics card either.

I'll apply ILR this coming Wednesday..Hope it will turn out fine.. I booked my appointment and paid online- and they already deduct the money in my account, got no visa yet:doh. Do I need to phone them up to confirm or just go there as it is?
Oh well , hope it all goes well..:D
Well do the final sorting on Tuesday..:cwm3:;)
Good luck to all of us here...:xxgrinning--00xx3::)

Thanks ACS and Arthur. We had our appointment on Thursday and got our ILR. :):Jump: We just left the question blank on the application and there were no biometrics taken on the day. We handed in the paperwork, made our payment and received the updated passport after a few hours waiting. This forum has been invaluable over the last few years.
