the more proof that your relationship is genuine would be better..so no harm in putting those chats with your mother in law..you may provide i think 10-20 photos of you and your hubby together and those would be enough..

Read the STICKIES in the VISA section :xxgrinning--00xx3: .... spouse visa is pretty much the same as a marriage visa.

Hi there lykayu01, welcome here.
Seems you have plenty of time to make a decent review of information for the spouse visa.
May I suggest starting with the UKBA page specifically for Spouse's and Civil Partners here (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp)
Follow all the links and follow the process.
To help you make sense of everything here is an example Application Form (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf4a.pdf)
Plenty of experienced members here who will support you.

Every application is case a little different in terms of "very complete" list.
The UKBA site telss you the information and documents you MUST provide.
All supporting evidence documents will be dependent on your circumstances.
Better to ask specific questions.
