hello guys, i just received this email from MANILVisaInfo@fco.gov.uk

saying:

Your visa will be despatched shortly. Passports can normally be collected from the Visa Application Centre after 3 days. Applicants in Australia and New Zealand should allow 3 days before tracking their documents via the local post. UKBA-Manila Visa Hub

does it mean that my visa is approved?

For some reason my wife didnt receive that email. We were simply emailed that the "application was ready for collection". So we worried until she opened her package that was couriered to her. Then we knew. In your case they have already emailed you to tell you that your visa is dispatched. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I dont know why we didnt get that email. But it seems that for everyone that does it means exactly what it says. My understanding is that they can make mistakes but rarely so.

Hi. I notice that you are wrapped up warm in your avatar picture. Presumably in the UK during your visits? Do you have any advice for my wife on clothing as she will be arriving in the UK this weekend with jeans, t shirts and hoodies only. What time of the year did you visit?

Hehe. Yes. I think now we will need to buy her a hat and gloves etc. The weather here is getting cooler, especially at night. We have a so called heatwave right now but I expect that to be replaced by much cooler weather. She wants a cutesie quilted jacket with hood.
