hi everyone
my wife has been here in scotland 3 years today she has ILR last year.
now we have the paperwork for british citizenship does anyone know how long the process takes from the time you send the paperwork.

also my wife wants to send cash to the philippines what is the cheapest way to transfer the cash

From memory it takes about 5 weeks - my wife did her Nationality Checking via the local council (be aware they can charge wildly different rates - she paid about £80 for The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead but a friend in a cheapo London Borough £45 :D) They ship the papers off to a bunch of Scouser Civil Servants in the UKBA

Wouldn't know who to suggest re money transfer probably one who advertises the least

Our friend has just received the confirmation of her citizenship, it took about 4 weeks. She is now waiting for the date for the ceremony. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
