Hi friends, could someone please advise me on the procedure of British/Irish duel nationality.
Although i was born in the uk and have always been settled here. i also have recently applied for and was granted a Republic of Ireland passport as both my parents were born in Dublin Eire;
I also have a British passport.
I married mt filipino wife at xmas 2010 in the Philippines and although we have been reading many threads here, we still don't really know if it would be possible for me to be legible to take the EEA route; basically what we would like some info about is whether as a person who is already settled in the UK would i be allowed to excersize my treaty rights in say Holland for example and apply for a family permit in the Dutch embassy?
And if that is possible, would we be allowed to enter the UK after we have lived together in that EU state? Would we be allowed the emigration status as other people from the EU who are allowed to enter the UK with their Non EU spouse? :doh
