It's more of a surprise to me that the big teams didn't do this years ago, especially with so much to be made in Asia these days with TV rights.

I think he was being generous to Chelsea and Arsenal.
On my recent trips to Brunei and Malaysia it was obvious that everyone is completely obsessed with The English Premier League. All the men wear football shirts, every car has football stickers, scarves, pendants...etc.
However, 95% of these were for Liverpool and Manchester United. Whatever Arsenal and Chelsea claim, neither of them will ever have the worldwide fan base of Liverpool or Utd until they reach the level of long term success of those two, and that isn't something you can do overnight, even with a rich sugar daddy owner

I'm flying with Air Asia from Bangkok to Singapore in a few months, I'll look out and see if any of the crew have QPR badges on their uniforms:icon_lol:
