I am Filpina 34 years old a single mom, I work in a school as School admin creating new courses so most of the time my job requires research. I was Chef before here in the Philippines and also in Singapore for a long time. While I was doing a research for my thesis in my MBA, i was curious about this dating website and to tell you honestly majority of it are all scam they would they are single but they are not. Finally I met this guy he is from England he is a good looking guy,46 years old, single dad and he said he got a divorce from his wife long time ago. So we exchange email address so we can chat, he calls me once in a while and while in our conversation he told me he loved me and he wants me to go in England to have vacation, he told me he is going to get a working visa for me which will cost me 2, 500 pounds. My reaction was really wow! Although we are not rich and I am not after for money, it really will cost a lot. I was really expecting him to shoulder since he invited me there, the question is why a working visa? he told me he needs me there to take care his house and his son for me that is fine with me. I told him to go here instead and meet my family personally and if your intentions are really pure, you will meet me first here in Philippines. I told him I can drive you around Manila and some tourist spots and you can stay also our house. He told me he is busy and would take months before he can get here because of his job because he is waiting for the approval of his project. That is fine with me I can wait for him, anyway I am really eager to finish my MBA so I can get promotion and teach in a university here.
Please need you advice! Should I believe him or just let go? Is he telling the truth? I am not after for his money, I am perfectly fine with what I have, all my life I am really a workaholic that is why i stay single for the longest time.

Sounds to me he is looking for a domestic worker, not a relationship. If he cared for you, he would travel to see you. I would move on. But I could be wrong, it just sounds a bit strange to me. :Erm:
On a side note, I think the chances of you coming to the Uk as a domestic worker are pretty much zero if that is his intention.

well if i was him i would vist you first and if i was you i would tell his to get lost, asking you to pay for the visa and like any true person you would expect him to see you and your family even before you ever leaving your country, its easy to say those magic words , i love you , but its better to mean them

Sorry friend but get real.
Anyone should be able to see it's a scam from a mile off.
Delete his details, block him and move on.
Better luck next time.

Hi skinicuk,
Do not send any money.
I'm sorry to say that johncar54 may be correct. I think you already know that.
Seems this man is trying to steal money from you. He absolutely cannot obtain any visa for you at all.
Look here for details about visa for work. (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/working/)
I suggest you cut all contact now .

:xxgrinning--00xx3: It's the right thing to do
If you're keen on meeting a westerner, there are lot's of genuine guys over here, none of whom would ever ask you for a cent, and would make considerable financial sacrifices to go over to the Philippines to meet you

SCAM SCAM SCAM
You'll probably find that he's not even English, or even living in the UK.
I'll hazard a guess at West African.
Have you actually seen him ?

Most scams like this originate out of Nigeria, and as Bluebird has stated, there is a high probabilty this person is of West African origin. Did he have an English or Nigerian (African) accent when you spoke on the phone?

Just as well you were sensible enough to ask questions first and haven't lost anything other than the time you've wasted on this loser of a guy

Scumbag alert !
You will know someone's intentions are real when they are knocking on your door. :)
Up to that point it's all daydreams.

Absolutely:xxgrinning--00xx3: If they can't be bothered to make the effort/financial sacrifice to jump on a plane to Manila, they aren't serious. I know it's tough economically in the UK right now and money is tight for everyone, but if they genuinely can't afford the £500 or so a flight costs, then the relationship has little chance of surviving without a face to face meeting.

As everyone has said, best off blocking and or deleting all this guys details. A pure grade A scumbag:cwm23:
Hopefully you will find someone soon who actually wants to spend the rest of their life with you and not to take advantage of your obvious kind nature
