That's really good-going for a Postal Application ... a MASSIVE improvement on the ten months you'd to wait for your Fiancee Visa! Maybe this is the authorities making up for lost time ... ! ;) Congratulations! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

thanks to you confusedme. I have been reading your threads and it was really a great help.
Have you got your National Insurance? Is job hunting went well?

actually Arthur we withdrew that long time application we made last January 2010, husband went to their office and collected all the documents and sent it to the Philippines. I applied June 8, 2011 and got the result the next day and flew here middle of June.
What a relief... This is indeed a helpful forum. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for your kind wishes.
I'll be doing via post - I will supply 6 months of statements just waiting for the old closed account statements to come through from Barclays.

I've filled in the form - question - Rina did her Biometrics in Manila - it looks like she has to do them again here? How quickly did the notice to go and do this take?

Thanks

Tone

Yes your Rina did biometrics in Manila.
She has to do it again unfortunately.
The reason why they want another biometrics here in the UK is to make sure that the person who applied and did the biometrics in a foreign country is the same person who enters into UK.

October 24 I send documents by registered next day delivery.
October 28 Received a letter dated 26/11 confirming that they got my application
November 3 Received a letter dated 01/11 about Biometrics
I got the letter in the morning and went to the nearest Post Office Ltd in the afternoon. Luckily, it's just half hour drive away from we live.
November 14 Received a letter with all my documents return dated 11/11
November 18 I got the card.

Goodluck Tone.

Thanks for that - really useful to see the timelines on the application, I am just waiting for my banks to send me my final statements still and then its off.

Will keep you updated!
