Yes this looks to be the updated form and previously you had to print out the form then complete it.

The current process is that you fill in the online application from the link on the UKBA website.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/philippines/applying/?langname=UK%20English

How to apply

To apply for a visa, you must:

complete and submit a visa application form; and
visit our visa application centre in Manila.

You need to complete and submit the application form online.
You will need to print out and sign your completed form. If you do not have access to a printer when you apply, you will be able to log in and print out the form later.
You can find the online application form under 'Do it online' on the right side of this page.
When you have completed your online application, you will receive an email message containing your application number (also known as a 'GWF reference'). Please make a note of this number.

Hello,

Firstly I have to say that we applied for my wife's Spouse visa at the beginning of September and things can change so quickly. But although I have seen the form in your posting before, it isn't the form that we submitted to the UKBA. We did not fill it in at any stage or submit it.

We did, however, fill out the online application form (that you can access via the website) and although many questions are similar, the online form has a different look about it and is arranged in a different order. Once completed, you print the online form and submit it with your application.

We did just that and got the visa 2 weeks later.

The online application is now the only option.

From VFS website http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/vfsglobalintroduction.html

VFS GLOBAL IN PHILIPPINES

http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/images/bullet_new.gif Who are we?

VFS Global is a commercial company, working in partnership with UK Border Agency at the British Embassy here in the Philippines providing services to help people apply for a visa to enter the United Kingdom (UK).

To apply for a visa to enter the UK, please visit the UK Border Agency in Philippines (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/philippines/) website.

http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/images/bullet_new.gif What does VFS Global do?

VFS Global manages visa application centres for the UK Border Agency here in Philippines, where you should submit your completed visa application form, supporting documents and biometric data. Please see the Visa application centre (http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/applicationcentre.html) page on this website for VFS visa application centre address and contact details.

You can also email or phone (call rates apply) the VFS Global call centre (http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/callcentre.html) if you have a general enquiry about UK visas or the visa application process.

http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/images/bullet_new.gif Who decides if I will get a visa?

Your visa application will be processed and decided by UK Border Agency staff. VFS staff does not, play any part in or influence the outcome of your visa application. If VFS staff claims to be able to influence your application, you should notify in writing the Head of Visa Services at the British Embassy in Manila. You can find their address on the UK Border Agency in Philippines (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/philippines/contact/complaints)website.

Follow the links to the online application then when completed, print it out then take the application with your supporting documents to the VFS office. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

The online application is now the only option.

:cwm24: ... REALLY? Why's that, then? I mean ...it's  ... not everyone has access to a computer - even in this modern age - and there are still some folk who don't know how to use one properly.
