Hello All,

I am posting this first time , please help me.

I am on tier 2 Visa and I am going to apply for indefinite leave to remain ( ILR ) in next week. I work in resturant and thats why I am getting salary in cash. I pay all tax and everything but on my payslip it says that method of payment cash , so if i submit my bank staement than it will not show entries from my employer that i am paid.

Will it be a problem or it's ok.

please help me.

thanks

Hi Amee,
May I kindly suggest you urgently review the UKBA guidance relating to Changes to settlement requirements for Tier 2 migrants and work permit holders (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/newsfragments/56-settlement-t2-wp)

With your settlement application you MUST included documented evidence and written confirmation from your employer or sponsor that you are being paid at or above the appropriate rate for the job as set out in the Tier 2 codes of practice. (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/business-sponsors/points/sponsoringmigrants/employingmigrants/codesofpractice/)

UKBA also state:-

From 31 October, any settlement application by a Tier 2 migrant or a work permit holder must include:-

- a payslip and a personal bank or building society statement
or
- a payslip and a building society pass book. Please do take time out to check the hyperlinks provided above.

What sort of work are you doing ?
Good luck!
