I like Bohol Tropics just because its far enough from town to be quiet and close enough to town(tagbilaran)so I can just walk in should I feel like it :)

Bohol and Panglao are beautiful Steve:xxgrinning--00xx3: I stayed at a couple of places on Panglao

- La Pernela, it was a bit too far out of town so I only stayed one night, but the room and gardens were beautiful. It was run by a French Pinay who'd made her money in Paris before returning to the Pina's. The place was European standard and not bad VFM at around 2500 a night.

- Bohol Divers Resort, right on Alona Beach. It was a decent resort with big rooms, a restaurant and bar, a good pool and 10 yards from the beach. The rooms were a bit dated, but they were clean and the bathrooms were ok. Overall it was good for 4 or 5 nights and worth 2500 a night. There were quite a few returning Brit divers staying there, which suggested to me that it must have been ok if they kept going back.

If I went back to Alona Beach, I'd stay at Bohol Divers again:xxgrinning--00xx3:

I stayed at Dumaluan Beach Resort on Panglao Island ( http://www.dumaluanbeach.com/specials.php ) last month, far cheaper than Bohol Beach Club ( www.boholbeachclub.com ). It was recommended by someone who lives on Panglao ( Fred ) - have a look at " Luzon and Bohol " #36 :xxgrinning--00xx3:. ( http://filipinaroses.com/showthread.php/34188-Luzon-and-Bohol )
See you at the " get together " in Derby this Saturday :).

Good choice Steve Bohol, is lovely. Nice to have a meal, down on the beach at Panglao at night, or breakfast in the morning. :)
