Last night I tried using worldRemit to send money straight in to Siony's account. She has a Metro bank account and she gave me a 13 didgit number for her account. Can anyone tell me if Metro accounts are 13 digit numbers. I am not sure if she gave me the right number as 13 seems a long number, I am sure UK account numbers are only 9 as my Natwest is.

She might giving you infront of the card number. ask her again to make sure the account number is correct. you might lose your money and it will never give it back to you..

I normally send it so she can pick it up. First time I have tried bank to bank and because it was the first time I only sent 2000 to make sure that it worked ok.

Hi,
I was trying to do the same last day to send a money to my sister from my bank to her bank..but the teller from halifax asked me 1. swift/BIC number 2. Name and address of her account 3. account number of holder...So you have to ask that from your girlfriend or wife...hope it helps...

I think you have the wrong thread for this post, I can not see the link between this and the topic.

On worldRemit I was only asked for the account holder name, what bank, what city and my girlfriends address. I did call worldRemit today and they told me it went through and it has not bounced back.

Thank you, my girlfriend today also confirmed to me today that the 13 digit number is her account number and not her card number. She will check in the morning to see if it has gone in.
