Yes i did join last year, but been quiet busy. Just started using the forum now. Been reading some posts and they have been really helpful for future use. :)

Interestingly, :rolleyes: the *'Smurfs' belonged to a small group of blue fictional - originally male creatures - created during the late 1950s in a series of comic strips by the Belgian cartoonist 'Peyo' (pen name of Pierre Culliford [1928~92]). Subsequently - as one might reasonably expect - female characters were introduced ... hence, presumably, the term 'Smurfette' ... used by our newest recruit.

:toomuchinfo:? I don't think so ... because those members of the forum who are old enough to remember, will most likely recall a Children's Television programme of the 1970s chronicling *their adventures, and might ... just might ... find this snippet of some interest. ;)

And wasnt there a Smurf link with a fuel / petrol at one point? Esso Blue or something?
