Filipino Martial Arts

Anybody see the program on Quest last night about martial arts.

Think they are called kali and escrima, didnt even know the phils had their own martial arts.

The hit each other with sticks was brutal :)

I first heard about it when I was going to Philippines last year when a friend asked me to get him some escrima sticks. In philippines they refer to it as Arnis and you can watch some good demos on You Tube

I used to take that part of a curriculum in one of the university in Cebu. We call them ARNIS and some good student of it will become a Varsity and be free for the university fee.
