Spotted dick is a steamed suet pudding containing dried fruit, usually served with custard, golden syrup or butter and brown sugar.

Well done, Steve ... a very economical way of using up spare scraps of bread while Emma's "earning a crust!" :D

Bread and butter pudding is great. It's so simple to make too! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I made one for my friends when we spent a weekend away mountain biking. They loved it but we had a big argument over what type of "sauce" should be eaten with the pudding. In my opinion is just HAS TO BE golden syrup. But they were talking about custard, fruit sauce, maple syrup, honey, etc.

Bread and butter pudding and spotted dick. 2 of my favourites. The creme de la creme of British puddings.
