I have been close to giving up on having a car for the last 2 years:yikes:
It is expensive for what use I get from it.
The IOW is only 23 miles by 19 miles I think, and it is really expensive to use a car ferry to the mainland and has to be booked before hand, so a day trip on a nice day is out of the question for me:NoNo:

I drive a Renault Clio 1.5 td. Ok, it's a hairdresser's car, but...... it does 60mpg is only £30 a year tax. I do 60 miles each day for work so I spend nearly £50 a week on fuel.
Moving closer to work is not an option, so this car is about the best I can do to keep costs down. But increasing fuel costs has meant that I don't go fishing at the weekends now and visiting my friend's is a luxury.
Luckily my main hobby of shooting is a 2 minute drive to the farm.

i get free fuel, well 100 ltrs per month, but here the problem is its deisel, so sell it to my family but it would be better if i had a deisel car myself, to much money in the short term to swap cars and as they say better the devil you know, i have had my car over 11 years so swapping is out of the question, just have to put the price up, watch there faces when i say i want a extra £5, so £55 fo 50 ltrs:NoNo:
