How about telling us ( and your prospective Filipina) a little about yourself, and what in particular attracts you to Filipinas ? :)

We are not a 'Dating' site :NoNo: but no one will want to get to know you unless you tell us about yourself.

As has been said, if you want to meet a Filipina....... the best place is the Philippines, there are lots of them there.:Cuckoo:

:anerikke: ... I'm afraid I'd have to agree with each of my friends' suggestions. Visit the Philippines ... discover for yourself, the natural, unspoilt beauty of these far flung islands. But, before doing so, you would be well-advised to read as much as possible about the Filipino people (renowned for being among the most welcoming on the planet) and the native culture.

According to our records, you currently reside in the United States  ... in which case, you will already be acquaint with the American influence that has prevailed historically in the Philippines throughout much of the 20th century.

That's a good start! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Meanwhile ... :welcomex: to the online, filipino/uk community.

Well firstly welcome to the forum

Secondly, think it would be a good idea for a bit more information on where you're coming from, and why you are interested in Filipenas.

Not saying this is you, but some people get a wrong idea about a whole group of people by thinking about stereotypes. Some people think SE Asians are quiet and subordinate for example, well this isn't the case with Filipenas :icon_lol: More like hispanics in temperament.

I don't like it when people visit this forum "looking for a Filipina". Meh. Maybe it's just me, but it feels a bit low. Ah well.

Technical question Steve...

Is my IP address an IOM one? Can you tell how many different devices I use? Or just the network server?

Does this answer the question on location. :xxgrinning--00xx3: I cant tell how many devices but your IP would be the same I expect.

I see.

I was reading that if you wanted to fake your ip address so that you could watch something in a region that is normally excluded by reference to your ip address, then it can be done....handy if you are in the Phils ......

We do on occasion have people register with hidden IP's or are using proxy servers, and 99 times out of 100 these are spammers. We also get people who will register time after time using annonymous auto generated server addresses. We had one recently called Craig, who was in Phils, and tried it several times until he got fed up.
What many don't realise, (spammers, trolls and new members) is that when they first post, their posts are not visable to the open forum until we approve them. So all the spammers we get hit with never actually get their rubbish seen to forum members. Of course, some get through, but our admin team are on it very quickly as we are spread over differrent time zones. Good really :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Living in Manchester myself. That's like an oxymoron right? :)

To the OP: Welcome to the forum, new here also! About your questions, maybe try not to sound too selective on nationality, even though you've heard good things about the Filipinas :icon_lol: You could try to approach them in London, there's a big community living there. Or try one of the online dating sites...

Funny you should say that as I did wonder about that when I first joined. I actually wondered if each post of a newbie is put on hold until it has been vetted and approved by you guys.

Steve, I am not certain, but for example my wife's sister cant watch BBC iplayer in the Philippines. Presumably the BBC know that she might be attempting to watch it from the Philippines by her IP address? That then begs the question, can one get round that by using a fake ipaddress or some similar approach?

I also "watch" BBC sports live online but I think one would have the same problem in Phils. A lot of the live stuff only works in the UK.

Anyhow, thanks. At least I know it is possible. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
