Hi Patrick dont panic your wait seems to be fairly typical. My wife waited 7 weeks only to get a refusal. I do know of somebody who has been waiting 7 weeks and has heard nothing so far. So be patient and I hope and pray you get the right result and get it soon.:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Well ... when MY wife applied for her Spousal Visa on January 20, 2008, we were told to expect a wait of up to three months which, back then, was about average - this despite a section on the form inviting applicants to specify the *date on which they wished to travel.

Since (being retired) I had already twice extended my stay, *we put down February 19 - the date I was due to return to the UK - also in the vain hope that she could accompany me on what would be her first-ever trip abroad.

Huh! *Pointless exercise, as it turned out; :anerikke: ... in the event, I ended up flying home alone!
Then ... almost as if to add "insult to injury" ... 3 days afterwards, the visa arrived - too late to fit in with our plans. :doh

you're not alone patrick! I am on the same boat although I'm waiting for my ILR! its been almost 4 months now since we've submitted our doc and still nothing!

Its crazy! annoying! but well.... good bless to us! hoping for a good news for us both! cheers!

Its a funny thing as our Spouse Visa took 2 weeks when many others were taking just a few days. And a friend of my wife's Fiancee Visa took just over week - she heard today. I almost tend to think its a bit like a lottery or they shuffle them :D and get an ECO to pick one from a pile etc etc. All down to luck as to who's is processed first.

Anybody got any better ideas?

ILR should be a simple, straightforward formality ... when all the relevant documents have been submitted, and the applicant is already married to a British Citizen. I wonder if the fact that you're a 'single' person could be causing the delay? I mean, for example, if you first came to the UK as a student. :Erm:

we've submitted our doc

:sorry-2: ... since typing my previous post, I've notice you've mentioned our documents; could it be you're in the UK as an 'unmarried partner'?

Look here for recent processing times in Manila.

62% of all decisions were given out in 40 working days in february....8 weeks.

90% in 60 working days or 12 weeks.

10% took up to 90 working days which is 18 weeks.

I have read and monitored different processing times of members after lodging their applications and it seems Lastlid is right that it is just playing each others LUCK to see how fast can we get our results... ECOs mood might be playing important role also... To think of it, they are still human and prone to emotions...:)
