Priority visa service and prime time appointments available in the Philippines from 1 and 12 May
23 April 2012
From 1 May 2012 the UK Border Agency in the Philippines is introducing a priority visa service.
The priority visa service is available to customers who pay an additional fee to have their visa application placed at the front of the queue. Under normal circumstances, a priority service visa application will be processed within 2-3 working days.
From 12 May 2012, we will also introduce a prime time appointment service for the convenience of customers. This will allow applicants who pay an additional fee to make an appointment to submit their visa application and provide biometric information at the visa application centre in Manila on a Saturday morning.
All visa customers who have documents ready for collection will also be able to do so between 9:00 and 12:00 on Saturdays at no charge
For more information about each service, please visit the Additional services page on this website

Priority visa service
From May 1 2012 you can use our priority visa service to have your visa application processed ahead of others. Under normal circumstances, a priority service visa application will be processed within 3 working days.
The service costs 4,200 Philippine Pesos for each applicant (including sales tax), which must be paid when you submit your visa application.
......
Using the priority service does not imply or guarantee that you will be successful in your visa application. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. We will not refund the fee for the priority service, or the visa application fee, if we refuse your visa application or if, in exceptional cases, it takes longer than 3 working days to process your application.
Please note that the number of applicants who will be able to make use of the priority visa service will be limited each day and you will be advised at the visa application centre whether or not the service is still available on the day you submit your application.

But what if everyone does it?

I must say I'm not surprised they can process them in 2/3 days because they must have spent all of 10 minutes reading my wifes application.
I agree it's a disgrace and the sort of thing you would expect from a spiv not a British Embassy. :cwm23:

Unfortunately Settlement Visa is not included in the Priority Visa Service
You can apply for your visa using this service if you are:
1. a business visitor who has travelled in the previous 3 years to the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or a country in the schengen area. Your spouse and children accompanying you will also be accepted, regardless of their previous travel, if they also pay the priority service fee. When travelling to the above countries, you must have complied with the terms of their entry conditions - if you have been refused by any of these countries following your most recent travel, you will not qualify for the priority service;
2. a general visitor or a family visitor who has travelled in the previous 3 years to the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or a country in the schengen area. Your spouse and children accompanying you will also be accepted, regardless of their previous travel, if they also pay the priority service fee. When travelling to the above countries, you must have complied with the terms of their entry conditions - if you have been refused by any of these countries following your most recent travel, you will not qualify for the priority service;
3. a seafarer applying to join a ship in the UK, if you have travelled to the UK for the same reason in the previous 3 years. You must hold a seafarers identity document (seaman's book);
