Just back from the delights of Manila where my wife took the TOEIC test at Hopkins (635 total, 350 on the listening part) so we just have to wait a week or so now for the speaking score.

And it's my birthday so SMBs all round :D

Hi Leen, sorry for late reply a little hungover :icon_lol: Yup that was me in the white shirt, I asked a few of the candidates if they were on this forum but got mostly blank looks so gave up!

Thanks all, she's obviously very relieved (although I knew she would do it) She was panicking as she mis-heard one of the questions and recorded 'Sh*t, I missed that' into the microphone. Not sure whether she would lose marks for swearing or that it showed a knowledge of English coloquialisms :icon_lol:

Anyway, I'm now back in the UK and have to work 6 months for the payslips before we apply for the visa :NoNo: hohum

And that's a great score Leen :xxgrinning--00xx3:

I think Filipina wives are quite unique in their ability to pass a listening test. My first wife would have failed miserably.:icon_lol:

:gp: ... you can say that again, Andy! Although, *sound [*pun intended] commonsense seems to be renowned for falling on "deaf ears" whenever ANY Govt is involved, to be honest.
