can anyone tell me if a filipino living in phily has to have a visa to go to thailand ??? my friend wants to visit her bf over there. not sure if she has to get a visa first ????

Both members of A.S.E.A.N. group of countries aren't they ?
In which case I believe Filipinas don't need a visa just for a tourist trip.

Probably best to check on the Manila Thai Embassy site though.

Whilst she can freely travel to Bangkok in terms of visas, a very serious word of caution regarding Filipino Immigration. They may stop her under the auspices of preventing human trafficing. I've come across a few people who've had these difficulties.
Make sure she has details of return flights, hotel bookings, letter from the boyfriend etc etc.

Yep, I've heard that's becoming a major problem too Ricky...with girls being turned away at the airport.
