"The UK Border Force says it is "fully prepared to manage busy periods" such as the Olympics despite criticism over recent delays at Heathrow Airport.
Border Force chief Brian Moore said security would not be compromised but staff would be "implementing our well-rehearsed plans" in July and August.
MPs have said the UK's image was being tarnished and called on Immigration Minister Damian Green to explain.
Non-EU passengers have spoken of three-hour queues at Heathrow Terminal 5"

You will probably have a couple of hundred athletes from various parts of the globe go missing once going home time arrives and a couple of hundred more claiming asylum.

I saw the queues on TV news, not a good arrivals experience.
Just think about how we feel when that happens to us.

I'm dreading our next visit to the UK. I think it's going to be a lot of hassle, and have decided to avoid London altogether.
Arriving into Manchester on the 26th July and staying until 09th August. I hope its warm :-) It'll be my sons first trip to the UK.

Probably the best choice.
Hope you'll have a nice trip with some good memories.

Just heard that Angela Merkel landed at Heathrow yesterday. After queueing at customs for 2 hours, the officer asked her, "Occupation?"
"No", she said "I'm only here for three days!"
