Madness. He's already proved he cannot handle big players. Blackburn and Liverpool were disastrous for him and the clubs.

Glad to hear Totnum appear to be retaining the services of 'Arry - all he's ever won in 30 years as a manager is one FA Cup against 2nd rate opposition

Yeah I think they may have been a bit bothered by the court case. I know he got a not guilty but so did O J Simpson

Possibly Stevie ....................but I've thought all along as the "peoples choice" that his track record didn't stack up as a top manager, remember the previous "peoples choice" Mr K Keegan :D

Ded we have not won anything sincee 66 & that is with so called top managers in charge.....But i do think arry is the best man manager around at the mo & would surely get the best out of our prima donnas :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Stevie - The FA should have stuck with Venables after Euro 96 - one of the best coaches this country has ever produced

Ded i cant argue with that but that is the past like the biggest mistake ever imo is not giving the job to cloughie but looking to the future who do you think could do a better job than arry (an englishmanthat is )

I don't fancy Mr Werther's original for the job but let's not get carried away the England team is only average at best and although as usual I will get into England for the Euro's we will no doubt struggle and get knocked out early on:NoNo:

Regardless of Manager I think the problem is with (as you put it Stevie) the prima donnas - a lot of them would rather be safely ensconced with their slappers in their Surrey or Cheshire Mansions or doing a spot of shopping at Harvey Nics rather than turning out at a rainswept Wembley. There is precious little patriotic pride in most of them - as demonstrated for years by Gobby Gary Neville's dumb insolence during the National Anthem.
To be honest I can't think of an English manager who would fit the bill

He did a great job with my team but you cant stand in his way if this chance comes along.

I personally thought we looked good when Hoddle was Manager and perhaps they could have called him back in. Either way it's time to get rid of some of the Prima Donnas. I wouldn't take anyone to the Euro Finals who wont be going to the next World Cup. Bring in some of the youngsters for some big tournament experience.
