Guys,

Sorry I have been absent for a little while have been working hard and enjoying married life with Miss Ana here in the UK.

She came here on a fiancée visa that expires on the 2nd June 2012 arriving in the UK on the 30th January 2012

We married on the 28th February 2012 and now need to progress to to FLR stage.

Because of her current fiancée visa expiry date of 2nd June I am assuming that we will need to do this in person.

Could you advise the following please :

1. Requirements ?
2. Costs ?
3. Best option Post / In Person and advantages / disadvantages of each please ?
4. Timescales ?
4. We are based in the South West I believe the closest office is Swansea am I correct ?

Many thanks as always

Regards - DavRog and Miss Ana (Now Mrs Rogers)

You will need to apply for FLR first before you can apply for ILR as you are on a fiancée visa.

The requirements are here on the UKBA website http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/applying-in-uk/#

As long as they receive your application before the current visa expires you are ok.

The cost for postal is £561 and in person is £867.

The advantage of in person is that it should be processed that same day, if postal it could be 4 weeks minimum then anything up to 12 weeks?

Yes, it looks like Swansea would be the closet office for you.

Good luck with you application :xxgrinning--00xx3:
