:Hellooo:

Hello People...well i am here in uk now..(still too cold, hehe)working 3 part time jobs and my baby is due in 3 months....Many thanks to all the advice i recieved on here before i came here!!! :D

Now i am due to have my baby in 3 months..does anybody know if i can claim "maternity allowance" while my passport says "no recourse to public funds"..i have been told i can claim this but cant claim Statuatory maternity pay....just wondered if anyone else here has done this?

Also has any uk husband/filipina wife couple (with wife who is not eligible for public funds) claimed housing benefit from their local Council and if they did ,did they apply as a couple or just a single application through the husband...i am just a little confused...

Keep up the great community on this forum...its a godsend...

Housing and council tax bens...husband applies...you as dependent, so all in his name. :)
They will take your income into account though.

Can't help on maternity stuff. :Erm:

i think you need to wait for the ILR to be able to get the benefits entitled to you.

Graham's answer is correct.
The husband applies.
