Hi, I'm Dean, a caucasian Englishman in my 40's

I've been to the Philippines 7 times now, just love the place and the people! I can imagine retiring there eventually.

Joining this site to hopefully learn more about the Filipino people and culture, and maybe help any Filipinos feel as welcome in the UK as I do in the Philippines!

My other interest is cars, oh and I live near Gatwick airport.

Nice welcome, thanks all!

Wow good luck with ILR lordna! What province is your wife from? maybe I can pick her brains about my next trip to the Philippines, haha, still trying to understand the culture...

Grahamw48, my current mistress is Trevor (the TVR), what have you got on the go?

:)

Sold my TVR last year ...have had five. :) All 'Wedge' variations...280i FHC, 2 x 400SEs and 2 x 390SEs. Couple of Lotus Sevens too, amongst other sporty motors.

Always on the lookout though...fancy a Griff 500 next. :D

Here's the last one:

So many nice welcomes!

Graham your collection shames mine, I just have the 1 Tuscan! I did have a Chim 500 before.

Do you ever do the Pistonhead meets? One not far from us in Lingfield this Wednesday evening.

Thanks again, Dean

Hello again Dean.

Nothing wrong with a Tuscan....or a Chim 500 ! :D

Yes I've been to quite a few Pistonhead meets such as BNGs and Whitby runs, also to Blackpool and most of the 'Big Bad Wedge' meets too.

Upgrading an S series....

I also follow the Dunlop Tuscan challenge series and go to as many of the races as I can. I know several of the drivers quite well now. :)

Rather a well-known car and driver (Donington last year):

I usually get to the northern Hillclimb events, especially those with TVR classes, as well as both spectating at and taking part in drag racing.

Harewood Hillclimb:

Possibly the most famous Tuscan ?....the one from the 'Swordfish' movie, over from Belgium and stopping over at my friend's house on the way to Blackpool (That's a Chim 450 in the garage):
