My kids used to buy it.
Must be the most saturated fat sodden food in the world. :omg:
Variation on Pork scratchings/Crackling.

I can eat most things but this was something I tried but could never eat again , hardened steel teeth with hydraulic assistance is required to successfully munch it . My attempts at pronouncing chicharon boola klak klak never failed to have my Philippine friends rolling about laughing .

Sometimes you can find an odd tooth in it. :)
Reminds me of stuff I used to sell in my pet shop as dog treats. :icon_lol:

I just found out from a Cuban colleague that it is also known as Chicharon in Cuba. Must be a Spanish name.

Ah! Great with a San Mig (or 6) I think the word is 'pulutan' = food served to accompany beer. Also (too) fond of fried chicken skin (tsitsarong manok, IIRC) and other equally unhealthy delicacies:xxgrinning--00xx3: nom nom nom
