Chatsworth House is a great place to visit. Very nice setting too.
Just a stones throw from us we have Althorpe house. Worth a visit, although some of the better paintings have been sold off to pay for renovations.

It's a great place to park your TVR. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Our club has a meet there every year now. :)

Nice photo Graham :xxgrinning--00xx3:

The Bristol Owners Club had a meet at our leisure club a couple of weeks ago.
It was really interesting to be reminded just how elegant some of the early models were.
Also just how quirky some of them were too.

Those Bristols were fast too, with the big American V8 under the bonnet. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Sadly I believe they were yet another old British car company to fold fairly recently. :bigcry:

I like to go to the classic car show at Newby Hall up here too (was hoping to have a picture of a Bristol, but sadly not). Here was my transport for the day in 2010: :)
The bonnet was up slightly because I was just about to check the water in the 7.2 litre V8.

On ANOTHER - more sombre - note ... I believe Chatsworth was one of many historical buildings within which, Mary Queen of Scots was kept under "house arrest", prior to her eventual execution :behead: at Fotheringay.
