Where's your compassion Joe ?

At least he'll have a nice comfy bed for 6 months at £500 a week courtesy of our taxes.

A pity they don't catch the person forging the passports and immediately deport him too....preferably to the middle of the Gobi Desert.

So he'll probably do 7/8 months inside and then be let out onto our streets again.
Wouldn't it be cheaper for us if the judge simply granted his wish and made sure he was out of the country within 48 hours. One way ticket to Turkey courtesy of the British taxpayer.

Too much common sense involved there Marco, and not enough lawyer fodder ...sorry.

the judge could have ordered him a easyjet ticket less than £100 for a oneway :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Forging a passport nowadays must be a near impossibility. There are so many differences in the medium (That printed in photograph is one of them), but on top of that, there is the hidden information which is computerised at the border.
Gone are the days when some boot faced customs officer would take a glance at your photo and wave you in.

Maybe to someone with huge expertise, one could be cloned, or altered - but from scratch?

As for this guy wanting to be deported - well what was to stop him going home to Turkey BEFORE he got caught.
He's Turkish, he's 20 years old, so maybe he should have used the traditional way to Britain - tell some 50 year old divorced woman he is in love with her.

Oh come on, we all know of someone whose fallen for this

ps if you've been to Turkey, ever notice how the local guys always go for blondes ;)

Not all passports are up to our standards, and of course could be a forgery of one up to almost 10 years old. :Erm:

The stuff that crooks are busy forging nowadays is amazing. :NoNo:
