i just booked my flight yesterday to CEBU!

I am so excited!

I;m gonna be going there in december (15th)! It's a v economy flight, so it'll take "quite some time" and i'll be stopping over for 3 hours in some arab country . . . I had rather hoped my stopover would be in Hong Kong . .. but hey, the important thing is . .

Any reason why you didn`t use Oasis?
Our flight (One way) is next week and we will stay in HK for about 24 hours..
I need a new digital camera(Samsung NV10/11) and was told I might get it cheaper there.

i just plumped for the cheapest deal i could find becausee it was cheap over christmastime!:doh:doh:doh going on xmas, returning new year . . . pretty expensive! A specialist filipino flights firm was gonna charge me £1500! how expensive, right?:furious3:

near 6 yrs ago, i booked a flight to the phils at short notice, and landed in pinoyland on the 24th of dec :D, the cheapest flight i could find at the time was ...... wait for it ....with .... british airways :icon_lol:.. cost me £1000 for the flight... but was worth it ..

after that i paid btw £380 !! yes they were the days of air france and klm, to about £650...

i remember a few years ago a story in a newspaper that a english guy in his 20's was chatting to an american sinlge young lady, after a while chatting online, he went to the states to meet her for a couple of weeks, when he landed at the airtport his first shock was she was in her 70's !!!, so he thought he better go to her home, as he didnt want to waste the trip, so he stayed at her place, and one day opened the freezer, only to find a body in the freezer, it was her dead husband who died of a heart attack, and it turned out she kept him in the fridge, and didnt tell the police, as she wanted to keep claiming his pension !!! so when you get there check the freezer :o)

Will post more Tom :) You have lots of good advice in here and still only just starting down the road to being with your girl :) Mentally prepared :) I thought I was but it is draining, you become a solicitor and secretary photo copy boy etc all in one while holding down a job and all the time you have to be away from your girl :( It hurts but knowing if you do everything right she will be able to stay with you :) and all the time we have to keep records of every conversaition and catergorise, I feel like I am a librarian too :)

Yeah some lady boys are prettier than some of my ex GF's :)

Take lots of Photos Tom in December :) You will need them for the Fiancee Visa etc and also to look back on when you are both away, it helps a little :)

yes, I'd say im mentally prepared, coz i am committed to a particular and very focussed end - the end being, me and my asawa together forever in happiness and harmony, so any temporary setback that happens along the line, is just -- well, a temporary setback :D:D certain things i can live without, but love isn't one of them. Love over the email and "instant messenger" is hard, for sure, but it's cool with me -- small investment for our growing old together :D:D:D

we have saved almost every IM chat we have had
we have every email saved
we save all our moments, for US now .. . but for the ECO or whoever later on :D:D

Where in the Philippines you're going?
