Hi, I have some connections with the Philippines from 2006 to 2009. Firstly I married a Filipino, however not all marriages are made in heaven or even Paradise. Now I do believe that Philippine women make quite possibly the best partners on the planet, but I caught a cold that no medicine could cure. There is no equal to an enraged jealous Filipino in easy reach of a Bolo. All avenues to remedies lead only to a battered bank account and an invalid visa. A fast exit strategy to the safety of home territory was the final solution. But I love the Philippines, not its cranky dated extreme family religious legalised virtues that mostly are overcome by those poor enough not to be of lawyer interest or rich enough to pay off the corrupt.
How I wish I could go back again and find my true love or could that be the route to a filthy prison cell -Better safe than sorry- lol.

Some folks say that life is what you make it.
Whichever road you take, there will always be choices. You can't always control what happens but you can control your own actions.

You live in the world when you love it.

Sorry to learn things didn't work out. Always a next time.

No offence intended. Just my opinion

I too married a Filipina, but the marriage was very one sided, she mostly wanted the visa and money:cwm24:

I can with hindsight see I dived in too quick, but it felt right at the time.

It has not put me off trying again but as I am now retired, my income is too low.

Glad it has not put you off the Philippines, I too would like to return some day.

Well, you could always move into an old people's home here, listen to the Archers and learn how to line-dance with some old biddys. :olddude:

Get yerself back out there man. :D
