i wasn't going to post this because of who it's from, but I've been to the place mentioned and managed to get a housing association house in the end, but it took a year of bidding :NoNo:

i dont think the council refuses to give houses to local people, its just there are not many houses to rent out, there are 1000's on the waiting list, some people have been on the list for years. :NoNo:

and depending on your circumstances you could jump higher up the queue, in some cases the council has a legal duty to house some vulnerable people and these people can go straight to the front of the queue.

sure some people abuse it, they know how the system works and take advantage of it, but decent people are the ones who are the losers here :NoNo:

i dont know where or what the scandal is , the only scandal is there are hardly any new housing associations houses being built and there are long queues for them, you cant blame asylum seekers for this.

Labour controlled Salford Council refuse to give the houses to the local Salfordians and show express preferential treatment to asylum seekers, in the great sixty minute house give away.

i dont know who voted him in, my fault for not voting for one of the others:angry:
for the BNP to blame the council for the problem iis :icon_lol:, thatcher sold millions off, and future govs and councils didn't build any new ones.

since i had this house, they've put in a new central heating system with boiler, new kitchen and bathroom, recently had a new roof, i hate to think what it cost, probably could have built half a new house with the money :doh

Maybe this bias towards towards asylum seekers follows on from the local football club - foreign owned, foreign staffed and foreign supported :D

i dont know how many asylum seekers have council homes in Salford, i see the BNP didn't publish the figure, can't be that many thou, sure a British person should be placed in front of them,, why not?. people in Salford get threats of being put in hostels, so why aren't the asylum seekers in hostels ?

some people are using :censored: like this to stir up trouble, and its not only asylum seekers who are getting the blame :NoNo:
