During the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert on Monday evening, Sir Paul McCartney announced his concern over Prince Philip's hospitalisation :bigcry:- adding that *everyone present had their fingers crossed for his speedy recovery ...

... to which some wag supposedly piped up that, at least - unlike what the Duke had been forced to do aboard the Thames barge the previous afternoon - *THEY wouldn't be required to "sit with their legs crossed" for four hours. :cwm24:

Quite right Arthur.

I suppose he could have sat if he'd wanted to, but sense of duty is strong with him. It can't have helped.

It's a bit worrying, with him being the age he is.

I wish him the best of luck, and a happy birthday to an under-appreciated gentleman. :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Prince Philip has left hospital after a five-night stay receiving treatment for a bladder infection.

Smiling, he waved to well-wishers and shook hands with staff, a day before his 91st birthday on Sunday.
