anyone here has an itchy scalp?? cause by dandruff.. im so annoyed:angry::cwm23: now its just so itchy since i come here in the UK i got this nasty dandruff than i never have when i live all my life in the Philippines..:doh
any treatment ive tried so many shampo's home remedies. oil baking powder tea tree oil etc cant rem some of the stuff i use but it dont go away:xxaction-smiley-047:bigcry::cwm3::cwm3:

coconut oil Moy is the best treatment. my partner and i have a scalf also.:D what we did now coconut oil. i brought this from PI:D

The method how we use coconut oil.

1.apply coconut oil once a week in the morning after put oil use hair cap. minimum of 30 mintues you wash it and dry.
2. dont ever use hot water when you wash your hair makes ur skull dry.
3. then shower everyday moy. this is the best optiion i could help.

Nizoral shampoo available from Chemist / Pharmacy, It kills the yeast that causes itchy scalp and dandruff. Its not cheap though but it works.

It could be that the water in your area is either much harder or softer than where you were in the Phils (your local water company will tell you exactly what Ph it is....or buy a test kit from somewhere like Boots the chemist)). With that information you can use a balancing shampoo.

Also ask your Doctor's advice. He can get an appointment with a skin specialist/Trichologist for you, who hopefully will get right to the problem rather than experimenting forever with different products. :)

I've got the same problem as you Moy. True really annoying! I tried different brands of shampoo but it didn't help at all. I even tried nizoral, quite expensive, finished the whole bottle but still the same. Actually I was thinking to ask my family to send me sachets from the Philippines :-)
At the moment, I tried baby oil but still not completely gone. I dont know what to do now. But I will try some of the posts here, might help. So thanks also for those who shared.

My wife had dry skin on her back and it developed into a rash. The doctor prescribed her a steroid based cream. This helped to get rid of most of it but there was some stubborn residue which is now going with the help of Bio Oil.

I dont use Coconut oil it stinks !! ..Deep Conditioning treatments works best for my scalp and hair :xxgrinning--00xx3:

Dont use shampoo everyday it makes your scalp dry , alternate with conditioner.

Dont use very hot water when rinsing your hair.

If you blow dry your hair after washing use a cool temperature.

just try the coconut oil moy. yes based of my observation coz i look after his hair, had improvements. just use it.. it will not gone all in the first used, i think in 1 month maintain application would have a good result. and don't ever use conditionair moy. that is my cause why i had dandruff now.. then use shampoo 2 tmes a week. porbably when u had treatment only rinse it many times.. I see also the problem is the atmosphere here in england the cold weather gives our skin dry. coz when i am in PI i dont have this maybe because of our atmosphere sunshine it helps to moisturise our skin and we get sweating.:D

I remember before all pilipina ladies they use coconut oil as a shampoo. they had a very shiny and black long hair. i had neighbor also in the PI she is now 105 yrs old. her hair still balck color and very long , she dont use any shampoo only coconut oil.:D

Moy, what i advice my partner u can wash your body use hot water but in the head only cold water.:D sometimes he forget, i need to watching him while had shower. and sometimes i bath him like a baby. i enjoy myself treating him like a baby:D

Hi Moy try some virgin olive oil just mix a bit in with your shampoo my wife also has a slight problem after coming to this country.
