:icon_eek: ... Prince Philip's Greek! :D
He can't!
It's as simple as that, it's against EU law, he can not do it and he knows it!
Is there no end to the crap this man and his government come out with. They must think we are beyond stupid
Another thing he will be all too aware of, unlike Poland and to some extents the Czech Republic, Britain will not be flooded with Greeks.
Many Poles came here because there's a long Polish tradition in the UK, many have relatives, there are Polish societies, the climate isn't too dissimilar etc. If Ukraine ever joined the EU then something similar would happen.
Greece doesn't have THAT much of a cultural link - not as strong as Poland anyway. Of course some would come here, but many more would flock to southern France, Italy, Spain where the climate is similar and casual work might be similar to a Greek economy, plus easier to get to.
This is scaremongering yet again with immigration. Nearly everyone knows full damn well that it's only really one section of immigrants who cause real problems, and despite their numbers in the case of Poles, it isn't them, it isn't the French, it isn't the Greeks...........
If the Greek economy completely collapses, then Cameron is going to be faced with far worse problems than a few guys called Stavros coming here and hoping to find work picking carrots, the Euro goes tits up, then Stirling will be in trouble
The man is an out of touch oaf
Most "Greeks" in Britain fall into two groups - those connected with merchant shipping, whom the Government has encouraged ever since Winston Churchill was PM (they bring a lot of business to the City) and Greek Cypriots, who came in under Commonwealth rules.

Although he say's this :-
"The legal position is that if there are extraordinary stresses and strains, it is possible to take action to restrict migratory flows"
The French, Germans, Spanish Italians et al ignore EU Laws when it suits them

This country opened its Borders big big mistake now we have Polish,Romanian,Kosovan and Serbian who just flooded in when the borders were first opened the predicted about 10,000 immigrants in the first year there were 340,000 from Poland and Romania. The Goverments in UK got it wrong.
British people lost out on work and housing because Polish and Romanians would take the jobs and In one part of Leeds my home town(thank god I got away from there in 1977) the whole Community of Burmantofts is Kosovan its like a enclave within the city.
Now in London its happening again I live out by Heathrow and though its multicultural the Polish and Romanians are taking over.
Cameron will say we will let in 10,000 when in all honesty it will end up 100,000 and bang goes our Economy.
Erm, Serbs and Kosovans need a visa to come to the UK, they have no right to just come here.
Loads of Kosovans came here on government agreed asylum about 15 years ago, but many were forced to go back. Yes some remain.

Blair let thousands in. Some went back but huge numbers remain. Lots of them were not Kosovans but Albanian germs who lied about their nationality. Here's a story from 2007 _ I doubt if more than a handful have been stripped of falsely obtained British Citizenship. A further example of how New Labour rolled out the red carpet for the scum of the earth to secure future loyal voters
Crackdown on Albanians who lied about fleeing Kosovo war
