Well it must be love :) I booked my flight 1 week after i got back from CDO sorted out the hotel in Manila, but not boooking PAL yet until nearer the date as last time my main Airline made me re-book and I had to pay out a lot of re-booking fees to PAL. Insurance is a pain i booked one up but small print wont cover for CDO that island is a bit dicey for safety except in the city, so will have to take out a 2nd insurance just for there!

Cost £578 Heathrow to Manila and just 17 hours!

Just 3.5 months to go! :)

Congrats. I booked a flight a few days ago for September -> end of October. £545 from Heathrow to Manila. 17 hours 40 mins with Etihad.

I was talking to a work colleague who is Cuban but has a British passport now. He said that last year he got a couple of flights back to Cuba for around 350 quid each when normally they would be at least double. I asked him how. He said it was through First Choice, the travel company, who were simply selling off the last of the available seats on a package holiday flight.

I thought WOW. Shame one can't do the same for the Philippines.
